If you've ever wondered how Daniel Negreanu developed his reading abilities, when he realised poker was his profession, and if he ever limps with aces, you're in luck.

Negreanu was a 'guest lecturer' at PokerStars School last night

Last night Kid Poker himself sat down and replied to some questions set by members of the PokerStars School community on Twitter. Here's a look at Negreanu's answers.

Q: WOULD YOU EVER LIMP WITH ACES PRE-FLOP?

- Top Note

@StarsSchool there are some spots where I may do that but it's extremely rare. I wouldn't worry too much about it for now.
Only spots I usually limp are SB and maybe the Button 3 handed. pic.twitter.com/3G6MGqzX3T

Q: HOW DO YOU GET MAX VALUE FROM MONSTER HANDS?

- Tompong99

@StarsSchool depends on your opponents tendencies and how aggressive they are. If they bluff a lot, slow play. If they are weak and timid you have to bet your own hand!
As for reading people, pay attention to anything outside the norm and collect data. pic.twitter.com/oVkF4kG8j4

Q: HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY RIVER DECISIONS?

- toche8503

@StarsSchool in tournaments it's actually correct to be a little more careful on the river and value survival or max value on the hand.
In cash, before you raise just consider what you will do if the player reraises. If you don't know... don't raise. pic.twitter.com/E2UJjVlVYE

MORE ABOUT POKERSTARS SCHOOL: ARE YOU PLAYING THE RIGHT GAMES? FIVE NEW STRATEGIES

Q: WHEN DID YOU KNOW YOU'D BE PLAYING POKER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?

- Lightning477

@StarsSchool I was about 22 years old and already playing for 4-5 years as a pro.
I woke up one morning and just thought 'OK, I guess this is what I do for a living!' pic.twitter.com/a2iWfT79ns

Q: ARE YOUR LIVE READS INSTINCTIVE OR DID YOU DEVELOP THEM OVER TIME?

- ItsThePits

@StarsSchool it's both instinctive and developed. I always had a good feel for this kind of thing but as I studied body language more I learned how to improve upon that natural ability. pic.twitter.com/SW9Yi4dwgI

Q: DO YOU ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR FIRST INSTINCTS?

- savageprince

@StarsSchool first step is recognize what my instinct wants me to do.
Then I go over the play of the hand and see if there are any clues.
If after that I still don't have a clear answer... always go with your first instinct. pic.twitter.com/EiF9IInZUN
