The Route will take us from Farragut to Wears Valley through Lenoir City, Greenback and the Foothills Parkway. The drive will end at Elvira’s Cafe (she is a PCA member) where we will enjoy a late lunch. The entry fee is $15 per person with all proceeds going to the Kingswood Home for Children.
2019 Charity Poker Run Rules
We will meet at the Steinmart Parking lot in Farragut (11437 Kingston Pike) at 12:45PM. Everyone will be provided with a map and detailed driving directions. Following a briefing and drawing their first card, cars will begin departing at 1:15PM. Rather than everyone leaving at the same time, participants will depart every 2 minutes.
Cars should be arriving at Elvira’s at 3:45 PM, with the last car coming in around 4:30 PM. Appetizers, tea, lemonade, and water will be served from 3:45 to 4:30 PM. We will be seated for dinner at 4:30 PM. Elvira’s does not have a liquor license to serve, but we can bring wine with us. Nothing was mentioned about beer so we assume that it is wine only.
The 68 mile route will take everyone through Lenoir City, Greenback and the beautiful Foothills Parkway (including the newly opened section) and finally into Wears Valley and Elvira’s Café. We have reservations for a late lunch at Elvira’s and awarding of the winning hand.
For those not familiar, a poker run is an organized event where participants drive a predetermined route, stopping at five checkpoints along the way to draw a playing card. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the drive. Both driver and passenger can play a hand ($15 each). Proceeds from this event will be directed to the Club’s charity fund. You don’t want to miss this great fun event!
For planning purposes and to let Elvira’s know how many to expect, we’d like to start pulling together a roster. If you plan to attend, Please email Bob and Penne Baugh at baughbob@yahoo.com and let them know how many will be attending and buying a hand.

Lastly, we still need to staff two checkpoints. These must be staffed in order for this event to occur. If you can work, please let us know.
